Primary Education
St Agnes’ Education incorporates three primary schools: St Joseph’s Primary, St Agnes’ Primary and St Peter’s Primary.
St Agnes’ Primary School
St Agnes’ Primary offers a welcoming, safe and nurturing environment for your child. The dignity and sacredness of each child is respected, as staff work with parents to build in the children an awareness of the presence of God.
Children have an opportunity to excel in a range of different areas. An abundance of Creative Arts experiences are on offer through extra curricular programs. This culminates in an annual Creative Arts Spectacular that is certainly a night to remember! A vast range of morning and lunchtime experiences are available, including Mini Vinnies, Christian Meditation, Coding Club, Robotics, Garden Club, Music Ministry, Junior and Senior Choir and Band.
A healthy and active lifestyle is extremely important for child development. Our school oval is the hub of sporting activity each lunch, with a range of soccer, touch football and game activities underway. Sporting talents are enhanced through local, diocesan and state opportunities for representation.
Positive Behaviour Support for Learning embeds the focus on Respect, Responsible, Resilient and Resolute learners. Support within the entire community is a focus from all key stakeholders. Our Year 6 and Kinder Buddy program, Peer Support Program, Student Representative Council, Staff Professional Learning Teams, Class Parent Network and P&F Committee all help to make St Agnes’ Primary a wonderful place to be.
St Joseph’s Primary School
St Joseph’s Primary (affectionately named Joey’s) has a rich history as the first established Catholic Primary School serving the Parish of St Agnes’. The foundation of St Joseph’s Primary was one of service to education and care for all, through the example of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop and Jesus Christ.
Being united as a community, with students at the centre of all we do, we can be inspired to strive for a future with the potential that we desire for all of our children. Working together to serve each student’s needs also leads us to work for the good of all in our School, Parish, local and global communities.
St Joseph’s Primary is a two-stream Catholic school, currently with close to 400 students. We aspire to excellence in education through programs designed to meet the needs of each student. We strive to raise the academic bar for all students through exciting and innovative teaching and learning.
We prepare our students for a lifetime of learning where they are comfortable with change, empathetic, both outward looking and self-aware, and have the capacity to critically engage with new technologies.
Building on quality learning and teaching in the classroom, we offer a broad range of extension and enrichment options through the Creative Arts, Science and Technology and Sport. Parents and carers are instrumental in supporting a child’s education and we encourage you to partner with us to ensure your child’s success.

St Peter’s Primary School
At St Peter’s Primary School we recognise the great honour and responsibility that comes with educating children and we feel privileged to be a part of the St Peter’s learning community. Our motivation is to develop positive and productive relationships with each family and child within.
In a world which is constantly changing, the students of today and tomorrow need to develop diverse knowledge and skills which project their ‘success in learning and life’. Creative, critical and innovative thinking complemented through developing advanced skills in communication and collaboration are the focus for successful learners. Schools in the Lismore Diocese, which includes St Peter’s, are guided by a Contemporary Learning Framework (CLF) as we aspire to deliver the education and life skills our students need for future success.
St Peter’s staff are focused on building a school culture and climate that supports each student socially and emotionally, promoted through our core values of Being Safe, Being Respectful, Being a Learner and Being Like Jesus. St Peter’s is a Faith Community, where children, staff and parents learn about and participate in a community that promotes service, evangelisation, witness, worship, and the lived traditions of the Catholic Church.
Our staff are driven by commitment and dedication to the children and families of St Peter’s and understand how the power of our partnership enriches a very exciting and relevant education for our children.
