What am I looking for?
Have you ever gazed at your own reflection in the mirror and wondered ‘Who am I?’ For many people, the struggle to be their real self gets swamped by their efforts to stay afloat in this big, wide world. This week, in Matthew’s Gospel (Chapter 4: Verses 1-11), Jesus confronts the question of who he is when he is led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

Closing Prayer
God,
you choose us by name.
This Lent, give us the courage to face the temptations put before us.
Through the example of prayer, fasting and giving, shown to us by your Son,
may we too be graced to bring love into the world.
This we ask with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
