Spaces at Emmaus Village

At Emmaus Village, we know that the right environment can be just as important to the wellbeing of people living with dementia as the care they receive.

Inspired by the world-renowned The Hogeweyk model in the Netherlands and developed in close collaboration with dementia researchers and local community groups

Every detail of the village, from the layout and amenities to the materials and colours, is carefully designed to create a safe, engaging, and homely setting that supports independence, dignity, and meaningful connection.

SMALL-HOUSEHOLD LIVING

There are 12 well-appointed houses throughout the village, each accommodating up to 8 resident bedrooms and private ensuites. Each house has homely spaces that mirror a typical home environment, featuring:

St Agnes’ Catholic Parish

St Agnes’ Catholic Parish acknowledges the Birpai people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live, work, and serve. We acknowledge their deep connection to this land, its waters, skies, and stories, nurtured with wisdom, care, and resilience for countless generations. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging and extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
