St Agnes’ provides a wide range of community services so volunteering duties depend on the role. You might provide companionship to residents, help in gardens, support events, read to children, and much more.
Yes. We take the time to get to know you & your interests, availability, and preferences and match you with a role that feels right.
We offer flexible volunteering to suit your lifestyle. You can contribute from as little as 2 hours per week, on a day that works for you, including weekends. While there’s no fixed long-term commitment, we encourage consistency to help build meaningful connections.
Opportunities are available across the week, with some roles also available on weekends. Availability may vary depending on the location and role.
Most roles are designed to build meaningful relationships over time. Occasionally, short-term or event-based opportunities are available. Reach out to let us know what you’re looking for.
A National Police Check is required for all volunteers. A Working With Children Check (WWCC) or NDIS Worker Check may be required depending on the role and location.
You’ll be supported every step of the way, including through orientation, safeguarding training, and an onsite induction. Additional role-specific training is provided where needed.
On your first day, you’ll be welcomed by the team, shown around, and supported to settle into your role so you feel confident and comfortable.
