St Joseph’s Family Services are seeking Certificate III or Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educators to join our dedicated and supportive teams at St Joseph’s Preschool and Long Day Care – Part Time, Permanent, 45.6 hours per fortnight, Monday – Friday. When you work at SJFS, you work as part of a passionate team of educators working in partnership, providing high quality care and education together with the Service Manager, staff team, families and the broader community of the St Agnes’ Catholic Parish services. These scholarships will provide financial assistance, practical industry experience, and the opportunity to commence a rewarding career with one of the region's largest care and community service organisations. St Agnes’ Catholic Parish is a registered NDIS service provider committed to creating an inclusive, supportive community. We focus on empowering individuals, couples and families by promoting choice, independence and high-quality, accessible services. We deliver supports in both home and community settings across the Kempsey and Port Macquarie. Our supports operate 7 days a week. We also operate a Monday–Friday day program in Kempsey, offering social, recreational and skill-building activities. Participants are supported to pursue their goals through a mix of group and one-on-one activities.
We are seeking experienced Support Workers to join our casual pool in Kempsey, with flexibility to work 08:00 - 16:00 across the week. As a Community Support Worker, you will support NDIS participants in supported accommodation, our day center and in community-based settings throughout the Kempsey region. No two days are the same—your role may involve facilitating activities such as dancing, drama, karaoke, cooking, drumming, swimming, fishing, walking, or other recreational and skill-building opportunities. Emmaus Village is a unique residential community for those living with dementia. This innovatively designed small-household model, originally developed in Europe, provides villagers with familiar surroundings. Our purpose is to enable residents to live their best life with freedom, independence and dignity. Our 94 residents will live in 12 fully functioning, domestic style houses with 7 to 8 residents per house. We provide a home-like environment that enables our residents to participate in normal household duties including shopping, cooking and housekeeping. Emmaus Village provides our Villagers with a sense of belonging in their community; where they have the independence to maintain the normalcy of daily life, and the opportunity to explore the village freely. The hub of the village is our community centre with a café, shop, beauty salon, wellness centre and cinema. The landscaped gardens include BBQs, a vegetable garden and activity shed.
Registered Nurses (RNs) at Emmaus Village, will work out of the Wellness Centre as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing holistic health care to our villagers. You will be excited and passionate about providing excellent clinical care, within a small-household model and in collaboration with Home Companions and the Dementia Support Consultant. Unlike traditional aged care, residents are encouraged to attend appointments at the Wellness Centre to ensure the delivery of appropriate, effective and safe care that meets their health, social and psychological needs. As an essential member of the clinical team, you will possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build collaborative relationships with villagers, family members, health professionals and the wider village team and have a focus on innovation and continuous improvement. You will partner with residents in their ongoing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to ensure they receive the individually specific care they need for their health and wellbeing. You will apply a consultative approach to case management and clinical decision making, considering villagers needs and preferences.

As a Home Companion you will build and develop meaningful relationships, truly getting to know each villager in your household and creating an environment that encourages villagers to maintain their personal identity, whilst feeling empowered and independent in their daily lives. The rhythm of the day is defined by the residents, a move away from the more traditional model of care, so no two days are the same. At Emmaus Village the residents choose how they live, how they spend their time, and when they undertake activities such as meals or showering, supported by Home Companions as needed. All meals are cooked, fresh within each house by the residents and the Home Companion. Our Home Companions are self-managing and empowered, encouraging villagers to undertake activities of daily living and assisting and supporting them with normal daily tasks as required; preparation and cooking of all meals within the house, household cleaning and laundry, personal care and engaging in lifestyle activities. St Agnes’ Catholic Parish is seeking an organised and enthusiastic Administration Officer to join our Understanding Faith team. Understanding Faith provides multimedia religious education resources to Catholic schools throughout Australia, supporting the delivery of engaging and interactive faith-based learning. Working closely with the Curriculum and Office Manager and IT Coordinator, this role will provide a broad range of administrative and operational support, including customer enquiries, database management, digital content, social media and reporting. A key focus of the position will be supporting the development and maintenance of educational resources, managing administrative processes and contributing to the delivery of digital communications and promotional activities. This is a varied role suited to someone who is organised, adaptable and confident using technology, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. The position is offered on a Maximum Term Part-Time Contract until August 2027, working 60 hours per fortnight, with flexibility to spread these hours across four days per week. High possibility that this role will evolve into a Full-Time perm position in 2027.
Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Previous experience in general office administration, with strong organisational and administrative skills. Higher School Certificate or equivalent. Strong computer literacy, with confidence using a range of software applications and the ability to learn new systems. Keen intertest in marketing through social media. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with customers and colleagues. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records, spreadsheets and documentation. An adaptable and proactive approach, with a willingness to assist across a variety of administrative and digital tasks. An interest in social media, digital content and educational resources. Previous experience in a commercial or educational environment is desirable. An understanding of the Catholic faith and an appreciation of its values, beliefs and practices. Commitment to work in harmony with Catholic Values and Principles.
