For over 140 years, St Agnes’ Catholic Parish has been at the heart of our community — caring for people, nurturing growth, and walking alongside individuals and families in times of need.
None of this would be possible without the dedication, compassion, and expertise of our staff.
When you join our team, you become part of a mission-driven organisation that puts people first. We believe in creating a workplace where every employee feels valued, supported, and inspired to make a difference.
At St Agnes’, every role contributes to something bigger. With over 700 dedicated staff, we are one of the largest employers in Port Macquarie — and whether you’re providing hands-on care, teaching in our early education centres, supporting families in crisis, or working behind the scenes, you help create positive change in people’s lives.

At St Agnes’ Catholic Parish, we are committed to learning, growth, and opportunity — not just for our staff, but for the wider community we serve. By investing in training and development, we create pathways for people to discover their potential, gain new qualifications, and build rewarding careers.
Our traineeships provide an opportunity to earn while you learn, combining practical workplace experience with nationally recognised qualifications. They are ideal for school leavers, career changers, or anyone looking to start a career in aged care or early childhood education.
Begin your career in education while working in one of our three early education centres. Learn how to support children’s learning, growth, and development through a nationally recognised qualification.
Step into a rewarding career supporting older people with dignity, compassion, and respect. Gain nationally recognised qualifications while working in one of our three residential aged care services.
Additional qualifications, traineeships and apprenticeships are available through our onsite registered training organisation, the John Henry Institute.

St Agnes’ Catholic Parish acknowledges the Birpai people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live, work, and serve. We acknowledge their deep connection to this land, its waters, skies, and stories, nurtured with wisdom, care, and resilience for countless generations. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging and extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
