Journey into the Catholic Faith for Adults is a welcoming 25-week program designed for adults of all ages who feel called to explore and embrace the Catholic faith.
This journey incorporates the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) and leads to full communion with the Church through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist.
The program draws on dynamic multimedia content from the Augustine Institute and offers opportunities to experience a variety of Catholic prayer practices to help you connect with God in meaningful and personal ways.
JCFA provides a clear and welcoming path forward. There’s no pressure – just an open invitation to discover, grow, and belong.
The program is open to anyone aged 18 and over who is interested in becoming Catholic, as well as those who have already been baptised in the Catholic Church and would like to complete the Sacraments of Initiation (Confirmation and Eucharist).
Participants are asked to attend weekly sessions and Sunday Mass. There may also be some light reading or viewing between sessions to support your learning and reflection.
If you have been baptised in another Christian denomination, you are warmly welcomed into the Catholic Church through a process called ‘Reception’ at the time of initiation. You will still take part in the JCFA sessions and attend Sunday Mass.
It’s completely normal to feel a little nervous. Sessions are held in a welcoming and supportive environment, guided by a small team of leaders and parishioners. You’ll be encouraged to listen, reflect, ask questions, and share your thoughts at your own pace – and only ever as much as you feel comfortable.
