Community Advent Breakfast enjoyed by all

A beautiful morning and the smell of bacon and eggs (cooked by Chef Extraordinaire, Fr Paul) greeted those who attended the Parish Advent Breakfast, open to all, and hosted by our Pastoral Renewal Team from 6.30am to 8am on Wednesday 21 December!

The team was delighted that around 60 people came and went throughout the morning, enjoying breakfast together. There was something for everyone – muesli cups, a fruit platter, bacon and egg rolls, fruit juice, tea and coffee.

The themes of the morning (considered in an informal way between food, conversation and connection) were Gratitude, Hope and the Heart of the Disciple.  With appetites satisfied, those who wanted to put their thoughts about these topics on sticky notes and placed them on three display boards.

It was really special to see people expressing what they are grateful for and what their hopes are for the future.  What a perfect way to prepare the way for the birth of Christ at Christmas time.
