St Peter’s Primary School ends the year on a high
Today (Tues 10 Dec) St Peter’s Primary School, Port Macquarie celebrated the end of the school year, with an end of year blessing, a choir performance and announcement of the new school leaders for 2020.
Over 500 students, staff, parents, grandparents and family members came together in the school hall, followed by classroom visits and a shared picnic morning tea.
“We wanted this event to have a real community feel, so we really appreciate everyone joining our celebration,” Geoff Leary, Principal at St Peter’s Primary School says.
“Coming into the Christmas season we wanted to focus our thinking on being thankful and to share the Celebration of the Word and Blessing together.”
“We also acknowledged the outgoing school leaders and Year 6 senior students and presented badges to the newly selected school leaders for 2020.”

- Lighthouse House Captains – Lacey Urquhart and Sam Ramke
- Student Representative Council Members – Sean Anderson, Sam Campbell, Oscar Conway, Harley Cottom, Mia Perkins, Madeline Poulton and Lara Woolfe
“Another highlight was hearing the St Peter’s choir accompanying the celebration,” Mr Leary says.
“The celebration was a great way to conclude a very productive and enjoyable year. Our staff would like to convey our best wishes to all families and our larger community for a joy filled and happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.”
