Residents at St Agnes’ Site and Emmaus were selected as some of the first aged care services to receive the Federal Government’s COVID-19 vaccination program.

At St Agnes’ Site, 115 vaccinations were done on Monday 8 March and at Emmaus, 147 vaccinations were completed on 11 March. Health Care Australia provided the vaccination team who administered the vaccinations on the day.

Residents were both excited and grateful to have the opportunity to receive their vaccinations and feel that it will give them confidence to start going out and about more freely in the future. They are expected to receive their second dose shortly. The team of five from Health Care Australia were extremely efficient and very considerate of residents’ individual needs.
