World Youth Day representatives ask for our prayers, support and travel advice

Sarah Jennings, Thomas McGhee, and Chloe Nash (pictured with other Lismore Diocese representatives) will be representing our Parish at World Youth Day (WYD), to be held in Lisbon, Portugal from 23 July to 11 August 2023.

WYD is the largest gathering of youth with the Pope. It is all at once a pilgrimage, celebration of youth, expression of the universal Church, and a powerful moment of evangelisation for the world of youth. There will be many moments of prayer, worship, and celebration!

Sarah, Thomas, and Chloe are all parishioners of St Agnes’ Catholic Parish who are eagerly looking forward sharing their hopes and dreams for this pilgrimage with the Parish community when they speak at 5pm Mass on Sunday 30 April. Whilst overseas, they will be providing regular check-ins as well as sharing an overview of their experience when they get back.

They will also be doing some group fundraising (raffles, donation buckets etc) in the lead up to their departure.

“Any support will be gratefully received – we understand times are tough for some and monetary support isn’t always an option, so we would also really appreciate any travel advice or well wishes for our pilgrimage!”, says Chloe.
