Parish Finance Council and Board Directors tour the sites of the Parish
With Fr Paul Gooley at the wheel of one of the Parish’s minibuses, members of our Parish Finance Council and Directors of the St Agnes’ Assist and St Agnes’ Care & Lifestyle Boards embarked on an orientation tour of Parish sites on Saturday 30 April.
The purpose of the tour was for members of these important governance bodies to spend time connecting with each other (as some have only ever met via video conferencing), as well as to gain more understanding of the diversity of the parish services they oversee, particularly for those directors who have only recently joined the Board.
Apart from Fr Paul the group consisted of: Carol Briscoe, Tony McAlister Nigel McGothigan, Sebastian Condon, Clare Brennan, Anne O’Brien (all Board members) and John McGuigan, Jim O’Brien, Tony Thorne, Tony McNamara (all from the Parish Finance Council) plus Tony Leahy (CEO) and Karen Kovac (Company Secretary). Sebastian’s fiancé, Inez, also joined the group as a visitor.
The highlights of the day were visiting the Emmaus Village construction site, two of our Residential Aged Care homes, one of the early education centres and the beautiful The Francis Retreat.
Tour was not only informative but also enjoyed by all!
