Students celebrate achievements at JHI Graduation
Fifty-five students of the John Henry Institute (JHI) gathered with their families and staff at St Agnes’ Catholic Parish Hall on Thursday 19 October to celebrate the completion of study at the JHI Graduation ceremony for 2023.
JHI has significant experience in providing quality vocational education and training, that is compliant with the Australian Qualifications Framework (ASQA). Graduating students are diverse, ranging from post high school students, Parish employees, Ni-Vanuatu PALM colleagues, community members, and specific industry groups such as Aged Care, Education and Business.
At the Graduation, 20 students graduated with AQF Certificate III and IV qualifications including:
- Certificate III in Individual Support
- Certificate III in Educational School Based Support
- Certificate III and IV in Business
- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management
- Diploma in Human Resource Management
A further 35 students achieved Statements of Attainment in various skill sets, including Leadership and Management, Disability, Education Support, Individual Support, and First Aid.
Addressing the graduates, JHI Manager, Natasha Murphy, noted how much the graduates had achieved during their time with JHI.
“You have demonstrated courage, hard work and dedication to your learning. As a result, you have been awarded an Australian vocational qualification that is recognised nationally and internationally,” said Natasha.
“You have accomplished a lot since you started your study with the John Henry Institute, and you have achieved more than intellectual growth. I am confident that the friendships, memories and lessons learned during your time with us will always be a part of your life-long learning journey” she added.
