Parish welcomes School-based trainees from Newman College
St Agnes’ Catholic Parish welcomed 12 new school-based trainees from Newman Senior Technical College during a sign-up day held Thursday (30 May), at the Parish Administration Centre.
Among the group, four students will embark on a traineeship in Early Childhood Education with St Joseph’s Family Services while the remaining eight will pursue a traineeship in aged care across various locations within St Agnes’ Care & Lifestyle Residential Aged Care.
During the information day the 12 trainees, accompanied by their families, were warmly welcomed by our Deputy CEO, Anne O’Brien. They also engaged in various information sessions throughout the day covering topics such as payroll, rostering, compliance requirements for aged care and childcare, various employment documents, policies, and procedures, as well as an overview of the Parish’s Vision, Mission and Values.
St Agnes’ Catholic Parish remains committed to supporting the school-based trainee program in collaboration with Newman Senior Technical College, aiming to help students attain qualifications in their chosen fields as part of completing their Higher School Certificate.
