St Agnes’ Catholic Parish schools back full-time from 25 May
Students enrolled at St Agnes’, St Joseph’s and St Peter’s primary schools and St Joseph’s Regional College, MacKillop College and Newman Senior Technical College will return to school classrooms full-time from Monday, 25 May.
Coordinating Executive Officer for St Agnes’ Parish Education, Stephen Pares, says the staged transition back into the classroom environment has gone well for St Agnes’ Catholic Parish primary and secondary schools over the last couple of weeks.
“During this period, students and staff enjoyed being able to debrief about their experiences during their period of off-site learning,” say Mr Pares.
“From Monday, May 25, all students from Kindergarten to Year 12 will return full-time on site to school, with the exception of those deemed vulnerable by a medical professional or those living in a home with vulnerable family members.”
“I want to extend a big thank you to the families of students attending our schools and colleges, for their continued support and encouragement during this transition. “
“Everyone is looking forward to getting back into routine, as much as is possible, while still being mindful of health and safety measures for hygiene and social distancing as outlined in State and Federal government communications and Catholic Schools NSW (CSNSW) protocols,” he added.
Social distancing requirements are in place for all adults on site and there will be limited access for parents and visitors to school grounds.
Learning on site will continue via a Blended Learning model, until Tuesday June 9, after which the schools will return to face-to-face teaching and compulsory full-time attendance.
Parents, guardians and caregivers should contact their school directly if they have questions about their child returning to school.
