Students at MacKillop College run homework program to support those in need

A group of dedicated students at MacKillop College in Port Macquarie are helping students in the community who need some extra support.

Run out of McCosker House, the high school students run a fortnightly homework club designed to give younger students a break from the challenges they face at home.

Leader of the group Kyden Power-O’Toole said it is a good way for students to give back to the community.

“The homework club is a great opportunity for the kids coming or living at McCosker House to have some fun and do something productive after school,” Kyden said.

“McCosker House is a homeless crisis accommodation centre in the Hastings and looks after a number of kids.
