Emmaus has introduced ‘Travel Ducks’ that staff take with them when they are on leave. They take photos of the duck at key locations or during fun holiday activities and send them back to Emmaus.

The photos/stories are printed and posted on world maps for residents to follow their journey. For example, one of the ducks even hitched a ride to Vanuatu (a long way for duck) with Colleen from St Agnes’ Site (Maryknoll, Mt Carmel and St Agnes’ House) when she went to meet our PALMs workers. Another little NSW duck came away sad from the 2nd State of Origin Game.

Residents are enjoying the armchair travel going to places they loved visiting or seeing places they always wanted to visit.
