Vanuatu Women’s Centre delighted with St Agnes’ Foundation gift packs
A small Parish team was in Vanuatu in mid-June training and recruiting Ni-Vanuatu workers as part of the PALMs (Pacific Australia Labour Mobility) to take on roles as care support employees in our residential aged care services in Port Macquarie.
They took in their travel bags eighteen (18) personal care gift packs donated by the St Agnes’ Foundation, for those in need at the Vanuatu Women’s Centre, which is refuge for women and children escaping domestic violence. The women at the centre were delighted and grateful to receive the packs.
Natalie Henderson, who was part of the Parish team also presented, on behalf of the local Saints Soccer Club, fifty-five (55) soccer jerseys and some balls to the children at ‘Pikinini Playtime’, which is a school run by an Australian couple. They particularly focus their support on children with disabilities, who may not otherwise get a chance to be educated.
