‘April Falls’ day fun
Residential Aged Care services, Homecare and NDIS staff across St Agnes’ Care and Lifestyle participated in “April Falls” Prevention day on 30 April 2020.
The purpose of the day was to raise awareness of falls prevention and to help educate those most at risk of falling in ways to stay on their feet.
St Agnes Site, Emmaus and Vincent Court all participated with unique displays throughout their facilities. Various educational games were played (a scavenger hunt, crosswords and a fun questionnaire), along with interactive videos. Staff at each site wore orange, which is the theme colour for Falls Prevention Day.
Congratulations to the staff at the residential aged care facilities on their creativity in working with the COVID-19 restrictions to host such a successful event, thoroughly enjoyed by residents, clients and the staff themselves.
